# Switch between personal and team accounts

> Can't find a note? Switch between your personal and team accounts from the account menu. Personal and team notes are kept separate, and mobile follows the web.

Can't find a note? You may be in the wrong context. Switch from the account menu.

**Who this is for:** Team Members, Admins and Assistants · **Plans:** Team Max, Enterprise · **Where:** Web (app.chartnote.com), mobile app

Your personal and team notes are kept separate. Team notes appear only in the team context and personal notes only in your personal context. Chartnote opens in the context you used last. The label under your avatar shows the current context.

## Switch context

**1. Sign in at [app.chartnote.com](https://app.chartnote.com).**

**2. Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner to open the account menu.**

**3. Open the context dropdown (it shows your current context). Choose **Personal**, or choose your team under **Teams**.**

**4. Wait for the page to refresh. Your notes list shows notes for that context.**

In a team context, a **Team** icon appears in the left sidebar. Click it to open **Team Management**. The same dropdown also lists **Edit team** and **Create team** under **Settings**.

The mobile app follows the context you choose on the web. After switching on the web, refresh the notes list in the mobile app.

## Assistants

Assistants can switch to Personal too, and can belong to more than one team. Switch from the account menu the same way.

## Troubleshooting

### I don't see my team in the list.

You may not have accepted the invitation yet. Find the invitation email and accept it, or ask your Admin to resend it.
